Ms. Magpie has arrived!
She came via c-section last night at 11:39, after a long trial of labor (36 hours from when they inserted the cervidil).
Will and I are both pretty tired but also over the moon.

I'm so happy for you, Mo and Will! Miss Magpie is absolutely gorgeous! I have been a longtime reader and having gone through infertility myself, your perseverance through your journey had been inspiring. Welcome to the other side: parenthood! Your baby is blessed to have you both as parents and I wish you all a lifetime of wonderful memories together.

ReplyDeleteHope your recovery time is quick. Take it easy as possible. Also, after my last C Section, my nurse wrapped some sort of binding around my belly and it helped so much! I could stand up and not feel like my insides were going to slip out.
Can't wait to hear more about sweet Ms Magpie!

Congrats! I've sporadically followed your blog over the years and was so happy to read that you were pregnant and now finally have your sweet little one in your arms! I had my baby girl on October 18th at 38w4d and while cuddling her right now I am overjoyed to read that Magpie has safely arrived and that God has finally said YES to your prayers. I read posts where people talk about parenthood in a ... not apathetic but less than 100% overjoyed way. It is not like that for me. For me it is the best thing ever. Ever.
